Introduction to Meditation

Introduction to Meditation

A five-week class on Thursday evenings
april 20 - may 18
7-9 pm

Buddhism acknowledges that meditation is an essential practice for those striving to develop personally and spiritually. It is one of the main practices emphasized by the Buddha, although one does not need to be a Buddhist to benefit from it.

Two traditional meditation practices are taught and practiced at the Rocky Mountain Buddhist Center: the Mindfulness of Breathing, which helps bring about calm and concentrated states of mind, and the Metta Bhavana, which helps develop emotional positivity and confidence. Our meditation classes are open to everyone, regardless of religious background and belief.
